Announcing another in the series of manufacturer seminars at the ‘Stop…

The world of digital sound in model trains continues to evolve at a rapid pace.  New products seem to be announced every couple of quarters and it can get difficult for retailers (let alone consumers) to keep track of the plethora of features.

With that in mind George Bogatiuk from Soundtraxx will be coming to spend time with us and present the new Tsunami2 line of DCC sound decoders, and answer any questions you might have about these and other products.

The event will be held on Friday, May 12th at 6 p.m.

Please RSVP by email: info@thewhistlestop.com or
telephone: 626-796-7791 by Monday, May 1st.*

[*Space is limited so we will only accommodate those who sign up by May 1st.]

In the Publishing Department…

The Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad was a 197.9 mile railroad built by William A. Clark that ran northwest from a connection with the mainline of the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad at Las Vegas, Nevada to the gold mines at Goldfield. The SPLA&SL railroad later became part of the Union Pacific Railroad and serves as their mainline between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. – [source Wiki]

This new book by Phil Serpico, from OMNI Publications, outlines the history of the railroad’s influence on the Nevada mining booms.
